Learn how to keep a beautifully illustrated garden journal as a record of your garden or as an observation of the natural world around you. Enjoy slowing down, tuning in to the experience of the garden, and sketching to relax, while creating a record of the beauty around you.

Materials needed: Artist’s sketchbook (I use a 5.5”x8” book in the field, but different sizes are okay), graphite pencils (mechanical or HB and 2H), eraser, sharpener with catcher. Optional supplies: basic colored pencil set of artist’s pencils, fineliner ink pens, small field watercolor kit, watercolor pencils with small water bottle and brush or a water-holding aqua brush.
